Stage deck

The two decks were made from stud walls of two separate heights, the front step being two custom legged platforms. Installing the walls at the correct angle proved to be a challenge due to some drafting errors.

House roof

Wallpaper and facing

The ATD taught me and my coworkers the best way to install wallpaper for this production, yielding smooth and visually flawless seams between sheets. Transforming the thrust configuration into visually distinct parts of a converted garage was integral to the immersive realism of this design.

This roof, located stage right above the green wall seen in the previous picture, was completely invisible to all but a few audience members. Regardless, each shingle was laid individually and attached with brad nails. Furthermore, this roof did not travel with the set when it was struck and brought to its next venue.
